The brief was blunt: produce as many credible homepage concepts as possible in two days. No further direction. Just a logo, a colour palette, a typeface, and a photographic treatment to work from.
Working solo, I produced 8 distinct homepage concepts in two days. Roughly 2.5 hours per concept. Not rough sketches, but considered directional designs, each exploring a different interpretation of the brand. The concepts were then taken by the Head of Design and presented to senior stakeholders in a closed session.
The process was considered successful enough to be repeated.
Results: 8 homepage concepts delivered solo in two days. Stakeholders selected elements from multiple versions to carry forward into the live product. The clearest possible validation that the work was strong enough to shape the final outcome, even without a designer in the room.
